Chepstow Antique Oak

Chepstow Antique Oak pairs the depth and patina of time-worn oak with the strength of modern engineering. A 6 mm solid-oak wear layer is bonded to a eucalyptus-plywood core, so the boards stay flat through seasonal shifts yet can still be sanded and refinished several times over decades of use. The rustic grade celebrates knots and grain swirls, while an oil finish sinks into the timber to enrich the colour and leave a natural, easily refreshed surface.

Each plank is bevelled on all four sides for crisp definition, and the tongue-and-groove profile lets you float, secret-nail or fully bond the floor, including over under-floor heating when fully adhered (overall thermal resistance: 1.2 tog). Woodpecker’s 100-year guarantee reflects the floor’s long-term resilience; routine care is simply sweeping or vacuuming, followed by a lightly damp mop with a pH-neutral wood-floor cleaner.

Choose between two plank formats. The 189 mm boards measure 1,860 mm long, six to a pack and cover 2.166 m². The wider 240 mm option runs to 2,200 mm in length, four planks per pack, covering 2.11 m².
