York Select Oak by Woodpecker Flooring is a solid-wood floor designed to age as gracefully as the homes it goes into. Each plank is hewn from select-grade oak, so the surface feels refined yet unmistakably authentic, with the wood’s quiet colour variations and brushed texture lending a subtle, tactile richness.

The boards measure 18 mm thick and 150 mm wide, and they arrive in mixed lengths from 300 mm up to 1.6 m (one pack covers about 1.98 m²). A classic tongue-and-groove profile lets you glue or nail the planks for a tight, secure fit, although—because solid oak expands and contracts with temperature swings—we don’t recommend pairing it with underfloor heating.

After installation, the brushed, matte-urethane finish protects the grain while maintaining a soft, natural look—nothing glossy, just the quiet sheen of well-tended timber. Upkeep is refreshingly simple: a lightly damp, well-wrung mop and products formulated for urethane-finished wood are all you need.
