Sisal Stair Carpet Runners

Our Sisal stair carpet runners offer a stylish and authentic look that’s extremely versatile. Suitable for staircases, hallways and individual rooms, sisal carpet runners last longer than other types of natural fibre flooring, making them the perfect choice for high-traffic areas.

Sisal natural carpet runners add a luxury element to any room in your home. They’re a durable material, so they may feel rough to the touch but will soften over time. Its versatility and high-performance fibres also make sisal runners the ideal fit for commercial spaces. Our most popular range is the Moroccan runners by Kersaint Cobb.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation

Natural fibres such as Sisal should be fitted with the double-stick method, meaning sticking the underlay to the floor and then sticking the carpet to the underlay. As natural fibres tend to move with the atmosphere, the underlay helps keep your Sisal rugs and runners looking beautiful. This also means that, when you choose a Sisal stair runner, slippery carpets are no more.

Natural flooring is a unique product and requires specialist fitting knowledge and skill. When you order a sisal stair runner through knotistry, we’ll also put you in touch with a NICF-approved fitter. Just ask our team.

Cleaning

As sisal stair carpets are natural, they’re quite absorbent and so spills should be cleaned as soon as possible. Do not steam clean or use wet shampoo on your carpet.

It’s normal for Sisal runners to pool into little blobs. This is because of their natural fibres and is a common irregularity for these types of flooring solutions. If this happens, simply clip these sprouts off with scissors – do not pull. Sisal floor runners have backing layers which maintain the integrity of the carpet’s weave, so it will stay looking elegant for years to come.
